Smoky quartz helps us to stay focused on the Earth Plane, so that we may build the necessary foundation for spiritual forces to manifest. This is a "heaven on earth" stone! It's grounding ability allows more light to enter the body.
Because of its effect on the root chakra, primal energy in the body is regulated and sexual energy is balanced. Survival instinct is activated in a beneficial way, making this an excellent stone for those who are suicidal. Useful for treating stress, depression, fear and panic. Escapist attitudes can be overcome.
Working with smoky quartz allows us to dissolve negative patterns (rather than merely allowing them to surface) and dispose of the waste. We can let go of what is no longer needed for growth.
